In general, felted garments should be protected from moths, friction and stretching as well as extended periods of excessive moisture or direct sunlight.
Cleaning Your Fine Felt
When your garment needs cleaning, you can spot clean, dry clean or wash it.
For spot treatment, use room-temperature water and gentle soap, then lay flat to dry.
For overall cleaning, dry clean or wash your garment as you would a fine woollen or cashmere sweater. Submerge it in lukewarm water with a gentle, neutral soap. Avoid agitation. Support garment as you drain soapy water and add lukewarm rinse water. Remove garment and roll in towel to remove excess moisture then lay garment flat to dry.
